Dia cinco

Fresh mountain spring on the way to San Ildefonso and Segovia
Snow resort at Navacerrada.
The best way to travel the Spanish back country
Palacio de la Granja. The palace of the garden. The royal family would come here for the weekend to relax. It has an enormous garden with many fountains. They called it the farm.

From the side.

The back of the palace. The second story window in the middle was the king and queens bedroom. We got to go in there.

This is still the back but closer.
I took some pictures inside. We were not supposed to :)

This is looking down the first floor from one side to the other. This would be the back of the palace on the format floor. Normally all of these doors would not be open as they are rooms.
Aqueducto de Segovia

Where we had lunch.

A chuch in Segovia. Iglesia de San Andres
Catedral de Segovia

We weren't supposed to take pictures in here either so these are some stealth shots I had to get.

Those are tombs on the floor of various clergymen from 200-300 years ago all the way up to 2006. They are buried all over the floors of the cathedral. It was crazy. There were probably about 20 or so buried up the center isle leading up to the alter.

A different view of the cathedral

Alcazár de Segovia

Looking down over the side of the bridge waking into the castle
Several princes were given armor as children to practice and train.

View from th castle looking down over Segovia
Monasterio de Santa Maria del Parral on top and below is Real Casa de Moneda (where they do something with money)

Enjoying a drink in Plaza Mayor
